- Hi Flexy,
- On 24-mrt-96 05:44:22 you wrote about Aweb - most pics are messed up !!!.
-
- F> I'm just surfin' the net and discovered (for testing best go to
- F> the amiga-web-directory ;) that most pictures (gifs) aweb1.0 shows
- F> are totally messed up....damn...this is an essential problem/bug !
-
- I also had that problem, but I think I solved it. I have put AWeb on a
- named public screen (created by ScreenWizard), instead of AWeb's own
- screen, which has the interleaved option ON. I can remember something from
- the day's of AMosaic that you should turn on interleave to be able to view
- transparant gif images correctly.
-
- F> One dude said the reason is a too high maxtransfer-value of the hd.
-
- Nope, that's not it, the images from the AWeb docs are fine, the images
- from my local homepage (transparent gif images) were not.
-
- F> What should i set my screen-prefs to (how many colours ? 256 ?)
-
- I've set it to 256 colours and it works fine.
